Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to be enrolled in Drama to be a member of theY.B. Drama Workshop?
A. No. The Workshop is open to all students.
When and where do I sign up?
A. You can sign up on Club Day, or just visit Mr. Harrington in P-61. The best way to get involved, however, is to show up at auditions and get acquainted with the Theatre.
If I get cast in a play, how much time will I be expected to put in?
A. Of course, rehearsal times vary according to how close we get to production, but in general, we rehearse every day after school from 3:15 to 5:30, and sometimes 6 p.m. It is quite similar to going out for a sport. And just as much fun!
Anyone with a little courage can be trained to act! You don't know if you are good until you give it a try! As for lines, you know the words to your favorite song, don't you? We use the same process!

When are audtions?
Auditions take place at various announced times after school. Listen to the Daily Bulletin, or come to this website for audition information. Should you have any further questions, you can send an e-mail to our director, Mr. Harrington, at gfharrington@aol.com.
Is it true that there is a ghost in the Theatre???
Well, of course, we can neither prove nor disprove the existence of ghosts! But many students (and staff!) have reported strange happenings: seats clicking, lights going on and off, water running, and babies crying over headphones. Over the years, our little spirit has affectionately been named Heidi! Watch this website for a link currently under construction. The full story is being written, but it is a long one! Stay tuned...
I always wanted to be in a play, but I can't act. I would never be able to memorize all those lines. What if I can't act? Can I still be in the play?
and then, of course, the most frequently asked question...
